Our story

Built on the farms behind every bag.

Tanzanian coffee is grown mostly by smallholder families on the slopes of Kilimanjaro, in the southern highlands of Mbeya, Songwe and Ruvuma, and around Lake Victoria in Kagera. For many of these households, coffee is the main source of cash income.

Roble Coffee Limited was founded in 2018 with a simple belief: when farmers are paid fairly and treated as partners, quality follows. Our work connects these families to roasters abroad who value where their coffee comes from.

Empowering farmers

Women at the heart of Tanzanian coffee.

Across Tanzania, women do much of the work in coffee — picking, sorting, drying and caring for the trees — yet they often have less say over land, sales and income. We believe a stronger coffee sector starts with recognising that work.

Fair, transparent pricing

Clear prices and quality feedback, so farmers know what their coffee is worth.

Recognising women's work

Valuing the women who harvest, sort and dry the coffee we buy.

Quality knowledge

Sharing what roasters look for, so better cherry earns a better return.

Long-term relationships

Buying season after season, giving families a steadier income to plan around.
